We recognize that clients in many of our markets may be adversely impacted by the current Federal Government shutdown. In light of this, we are offering a 90-day forbearance to borrowers who have been impacted and are seeking payment assistance. When the government shutdown has been resolved, we will work with impacted borrowers to resolve the forbearance and return their loan to current status. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema offering federal employees free movies throughout the month of January to “help cure the Government Shutdown blues,” The free tickets are available Mondays through Thursdays for federal employees when they present a federal ID at the box office.

Unemployment benefits: Federal government employees who have been separated from their job due to the shutdown and have questions about unemployment benefits should contact the Virginia Employment Commission. The phone number for the Customer Contact Center is 866-832-2263.
